6. Professional Development

To obtain a certificate of completion for an ADE-approved online professional development course, a user should review and study the lesson materials, take and pass the assessment(s) at mastery level of 80% or higher, and complete the associated course survey.

The approved professional development hours for each course are determined by the creators of the course based on estimated learning time in relation to mastery of content. Background knowledge of the content may allow the user to progress at a faster pace.

Any attempts to falsify records or receive credit without spending the appropriate amount of time in a course is considered fraud and a violation of the Code of Ethics for Arkansas Educators put forth by the Arkansas Department of Education. Use of simultaneous log-ins on multiple devices or browsers, shared accounts or passwords, or other fraudulent activity will void all work during that time period. If you are found in violation of the terms of this site or attempting to submit fraudulent documentation, your privileges to use ArkansasIDEAS could be revoked and ADE may be notified of the violation. If you are unfamiliar with the Code of Ethics for Arkansas Educators please consult the ADE website.

Professional development credit is awarded solely at the discretion of the local school district.
